North West || Navi Mumbai || #TFG
North West is almost a 2 year old dining restaurant in Satra Plaza , Vashi , Navi Mumbai. Almost same distance from all the 3 near by railway stations ie Vashi , Koparkhairne and Turbhe.
There are two entry points of this restaurant. One is through the bar which then connects to the main restaurant and second one is directly into the restaurant.
Its quite a spacious place i would say.The bar has the low lighting seating arrangements.
While the dining area is well lit and a very nice seating arrangements of sofas and chairs. There are TVs in the bar to see the live matches while a big huge screen in the dining area. Also there is a transparent space of kitchen through the dining area of the tandoors. This gives a dramatic feel to the place.
So After these simple yet impressive ambience it was time for food.
Started with the Masala Roomali. Basically masala papad only but here the base was roomali roti baked. Huge in size and all the chatpata taste is a great start i must say. Along with this the mocktails like Fruit Punch, Kala Khatta Margarita and Celebration.
Fruit Punch was to a bit of tangy taste , sweeter side would have been great i feel. Kala Khatta Margarita fusion was great with the masala roomali . Celebration, was really a great mixture of coffee , chocolate and ice creams.
Now it was time for some starters.
Dakshini Murgh tikka was the one to arrive first. The presentation was really nice . A small cooker which will make you remember your old guilty kitchen-kitchen playing days because of the small cooker kept in the dish filled with mustard sauce. I would the chicken was perfectly cooked and i felt it wasnt a heavy dish on stomach . Very light and would perfectly go with alcohol as well.
The next one to arrive was the superstar dish of the night i feel. Murgh Ke Sholay.
Chicken in a fiery marinade , served sizzling with a flame. Spicy chicken was sooo perfect . Rich in taste. And quantity is enough for 2 people. The view of Flame being ingnited on your table is an expiernce to look forward to.
Watch This Awesome Video Of Murgh Ke Sholay
So in main course i went for something different. Methi Paneer Makhani. A very smooth and consistent gravy and the taste of methi and paneer was for the first time which i loved. For me this was a dish which can have a repeat value.
In non veg the patiala murgh which had tangy and lemony flavour so it would be a very personal opinion of taste.
In the breads went for the Roti Basket which included tandoori roti , Lachha Paratha , Missi Roti and Naan. Also went for Naan-e-Bakhumaas, something different in terms of taste.
Finally for desserts went for Chocolate Hot Pot and Mocha Fudge Brownie. Frankly This was the best brownie till now .Earlier it was a different place where i had the best brownie but North west has taken the top position now.
Overall its a great place to have dinner/lunch with your family and friends and also with office collegues as their is a buffet option also available.
